How a bathroom goes

2. Written quote. Itemised, with a start date and a realistic number of days. Fixed unless you change the spec or something is hiding behind a wall.
3. Strip out. Old suite out, waste protected, floors covered.
4. First fix. Pipework and waste moved to suit the new layout.
5. Walls and floor. Tiling or panelling, and waterproofing behind anything that gets wet.
6. Second fix. Suite, taps, shower, screen, sealing.
7. Walkthrough. We go round it with you before we leave.

How long it takes

A straightforward like-for-like bathroom is usually 4–6 working days. Moving the toilet or soil pipe, or going from a bath to a walk-in shower, adds time — the quote will say so rather than surprising you on day five.

Buy your own suite, or we'll supply it. Either is fine. If you're buying, we'll tell you honestly which parts are worth spending on — the shower valve and the waste are where cheap costs you later.

If your bathroom work needs the boiler moved or a gas appliance touched, you'll need a Gas Safe engineer for that part. We'll say so at quote stage, not halfway through.
